Punxsutawney Area
Community Center Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the scholarship is to provide a graduating student from
the Punxsutawney Area High School, SSCD Catholic School, Punxsutawney
Christian School, or any other Punxsutawney area resident a grant toward
further education.
Applications are available at the Center and in the guidance office of
your school. Funds are raised through the Groundhog 3-on-3 Basketball
Tournament.
To be eligible for this
scholarship, all applicants must:
have filed an application
with the Executive Director of the Center.
have been a volunteer
in/for the Center during the past twelve months.
be admitted to an
educational institution offering a minimum two-year accredited
degree program.
be attending the educational institute on a full-time basis.
submit along with their
application an essay stating their purpose or reason for
volunteering at the Center.
